KERMEL® DENIM: NEW ON THE FIRE AND INDUSTRIAL PROTECTIVE CLOTHING MARKET

KERMEL, the European market leader in the manufacture of meta-aramid fibres for flame and heat resistant protective clothing, is launching its Kermel® Denim fabric for the first time in France.

This Denim version made out of Kermel® fibre is an innovative jeanswear, combining non-flammability, comfort and durability with a new design, for industrial protective clothing.
Thanks to the properties of Kermel® fibre, this Kermel® Denim is permanently non-flammable and protects against electric arc: no subsequent flame-retardant treatment is required.

It is dedicated to industrial workers working in high-risk environment: petrochemical industries, electrical and gas utilities.
Kermel® Denim meets the requirements of ASTMF-1506, CGSB 155.20 and of course NFPA 70E Class 2, IEC 61482-1-2, IEC 61482-1-1 and ISO 11612.

KERMEL LAUNCHES KERMEL INSULRIGHT PAPER FOR LAMINATES FOR THERMAL AND ELECTRICAL INSULATION

Kermel has developed a high performance thermal and electrical insulating paper called KERMEL INSULRIGHT.

In order to meet the market trends with a full range of products, KERMEL has launched KERMEL INSULRIGHT which has outstanding properties especially in environments submitted to high temperature constraints of about 180°C.

KERMEL INSULRIGHT is mainly dedicated to structures such as laminates which are composed of two layers of Kermel Insulright^TM calendered paper – available in different thicknesses - and one layer of polyester or polyimide film as follows:

• Kermel Insulright/ Polyester / Kermel Insulright
• Kermel Insulright / Polyimide / Kermel Insulright

Additionally, Kermel Insulright laminate has good mechanical properties such as good mechanical strength and elongation.
