These fabrics are extremely soft, comparable to cotton, due to the almost circular cross-section of Kermel’s aramid fiber. Like all Kermel products, the electrical safety clothing made of Kermel GlenGuard® are pill-free and possess a longer service life. This is particularly suitable for many applications in electrical industries and oil refineries.
The original textile blend of Kermel GlenGuard® is light and comfortable to wear, while providing a high degree of resistance recognized in the industrial cleaning world. All Kermel GlenGuard® fabrics are permanently flame resistant. The fiber provides excellent thermal insulation, as well as good flexibility and resistance to chemicals.
The fibers used in Kermel GlenGuard® products are producer dyed and available in cool blue, navy, orange, red, tan, yellow, or in custom colors at a customer’s request. The shade is part of the polymer matrix and does not fade with extensive washing or exposure to sunlight. Colors of Kermel electrical protective clothing do not run after several uses.
GlenGuard, and other Kermel fabrics, will be at the National Safety Council Expo in Orlando in October 2009.
